Case Management Specialist

Job Description:

Deschutes Defenders has an immediate opening for a legal assistant who will work primarily with our case management software: MyCase.


  • Be one of two team members who manage our Case Management Software.
  • Build, edit and coordinate with team members monthly reports to the state agency.
  • Download/Upload Material from Prosecutor and Court System.
  • Review reports for possible conflicts in representation.
  • Coordinate assignment of cases from staff and court.
  • Help coordinate calendaring of court and other events.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Great Attitude and ability to work well within a team and with our diverse community.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Education or experience working in the legal profession is preferred but not required.
  • English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Proper telephone etiquette.
  • Basic usage of modern office equipment and Microsoft Office.
  • Must have basic abillity to use Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new Excel skills.
